African Olive Pen Blanks

Characteristics: This exotic and imported hardwood is a favorite of the "Curious Woods" staff! A very unique wood, it is pale to mid-brown, attractively marked with irregular grey, brown and black streaks giving it a marbled appearance.

Common Uses: African Olive is used in high grade decorative flooring - tool handles - veneer - inlay - decorative accents and is a great turnery wood.

Working Properties: Olive is difficult work if cutting edges are not kept sharp. Pre-bore for fasteners. The wood will take an excellent smooth finish.
