Marblewood Bowl Blanks
Characteristics: Marblewood is an interesting exotic hardwood. The heartwood is an orange and pale yellowish color with black wavy streaking that gives it a marble-like appearance. The grain is interlocked and coarse textured. This wood has a very nice figure like Zebrawood but has wider spacing or stripes.
Common Uses: Marblewood is fantastic for the wood turner looking for a unique hardwood.
Working Properties: The bowl blanks and the turning stock turn very well with moderate blunting on tools. Keep tools sharp and pre boring is recommended.
