One of the most attractive exotic hardwoods in the world, its pink-red-violet colors mix with it’s dark red stripes to create a much wanted effect. Pao Rosa is hard and heavy, with good mechanical and physical properties.
Common Uses: Veneer and furniture industry - flooring - wall paneling - intarsia - cabinet making and of course turnery.
Working Properties: Works tough with hand tools, but machines nicely. Preboring is essential. The wood glues well and it polishes to a remarkable finish. Pao Rosa is an excellent wood for the lathe.
