Rhodesian Teak Pen Blanks
Characteristics: This exotic and imported hardwood has a reddish-brown heartwood with pronounced irregular black streaks and flecks. The grain is straight or slightly interlocked.
Common Uses: Wood turning - furniture - cabinetry - carving and decorative veneers.
Working Properties: Rhodesian Teak, also called Zambesi Redwood, has excellent turning properties but is otherwise difficult to work. The wood planes to a lustrous smooth finish and gluing is not a problem.
