Sausage Software HotDog PageWiz Characteristics: This exotic and imported hardwood is hard and heavy and has moderately coarse, even texture. Bubinga is durable and strong. The irregular graining of Quilted Bubinga has come to be known as Waterfall Bubinga due to the intense flowing water 3 dimensional "frozen waterfall" figure. Common Uses: Bubinga is used in high end furniture and displays - knife handles - veneers - inlay work and flooring.
Working Properties: The wood can be worked with hand or power tools to a fine finish. Cutting edges must be kept sharp. Pre-bore for fasteners. Gum pockets can cause problems when gluing. Will take a nice polish. The finish will make the grain jump out at you. 3-D.
